El reba\u00f1o de ovejas de raza Latxa que Neiker tiene en el Campus de Arkaute participa como reba\u00f1o lechero innovador en el proyecto LIFE GREEN SHEEP. En el marco del proyecto, se ha dise\u00f1ado un Plan de Acci\u00f3n Bajo en Carbono para mitigar el impacto medioambiental y mejorar la sostenibilidad. En concreto, el objetivo es reducir la huella de carbono en m\u00e1s de un 12%, as\u00ed como mejorar otros aspectos medioambientales como la salud y fertilidad del suelo, la producci\u00f3n de hierba, etc.
\nPero sobre todo, Neiker quiere compartir la experiencia, y por ello se ha organizado esta jornada de puertas abiertas dirigida a ganaderos, asesores y agentes del sector ovino, principalmente del sistema de producci\u00f3n de ovino de raza Latxa, aunque tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 abierta a los de otros sistemas ovinos.
\nDurante la visita, se presentar\u00e1 el reba\u00f1o, las instalaciones y los principales equipos disponibles para medir las emisiones de metano ent\u00e9rico, as\u00ed como las pr\u00e1cticas de manejo innovadoras aplicadas para alcanzar el objetivo.<\/p>\n
