The European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP) has organised its 74th annual meeting in Lyon last August. The Life Greensheep team had the opportunity to present the first results analysis of the demonstrative and innovative farms. EAAP promote research, discussion, debate and dissemination of high quality and relevant animal science findings amongst the scientific communities, the livestock industry, civil society and groups with interests in livestock production.
Two presentations were given :
- Determining carbon footprint of sheep farms in Europe: first results of the LIFE Green Sheep project
- Testing mitigation actions to reduce GHG emissions from sheep farming in Europe
